Update on the new hammy, and the preggo syrian

If you all remember my new post about a new hamster (Which only Steph responded to), I brought home a mother dwarf and "her" 6 babies. Well, turns out I took the wrong hamster home. The one I took home was a male. I looked in the cage this morning to find all the babies dead from dehydration/no milk still in the nest with the male,. I took him back to work, and got the actual female. She is most likely pregnant again..since she gave birth in the cage with the male..I will find out in 3 weeks.

Also, Olive had her babies. I found 2, and they have color..I JUST moved her to a new cage two days ago..I look in on her daily, and I didn't see any blood, or babies yesterday. (Maybe I didn't look well enough), but these two are doing great..they are BIG babies, and are black "Bears" :). (For those of you who don't know the story..I misexed hamsters for the SECOND time, and she is having babies with her brother.). I am going to separate these two at 4 weeks old to make sure absolutely NO accidents happen whatsoever! No more baby hamsters!!!

I've never seen a completely white dwarf before (yeah, I'm sheltered)... she's gorgeous!

Also, I'm really sorry that the babies' passed. These things just happen sometimes, y'know.

And I'm really excited to watch the wittle beebees in the first pic grow up! I mean, you're gonna show us pictures of their progression, riiiiiiiight??? :D

Of course I am going share pictures of their progression!! I have with the other baby Syrians!

She is really pretty..but VERY, VERY mean..She actually JUMPS up at you to bite you. I hope working with her, and showing her I am not going to hurt her, will bring out a sweeter side.

And I will update on if shes pregnant as well.

She's one of those hammies/rodents with a little sweet, innocent, face but really they are bad.. :p

Well congrats on the new babes! and your little Snowball! I think I might be cracked in the head but I love the look of baby rodents... I think they look so cute... LOL okay its true I am CRACKED! lol

Aww cute hams. Lucky they found you to take care of them. I never seen a white dwarf either,im sure in time she might calm down. My cinnamon used to be a biter but over time he calmed down. Good luck with all them babies!
