Wow, I was just surfing around the net and saw an article writen by some lady about hamster care. Needless to say I was appalled. Look at just a little sample of what she wrote:


"You can see why they're often the pet of choice. Relatively cheap to buy and maintain. You can keep them in very small spaces. They suffer few, if any, illnesses. They don't live very long - three years maximum, so you don't have a long commitment. You don't even have to play with them, as they're never awake when you are. "

Yeah, I still can't believe all the stuff that was in that article. It was soo stupid. It's sad about the life span thing, I wish hammies lived longer because they are such great animals and a joy to be around:)

I really hate people think animals are objects to put away in a cage just for their amusment till they get bored. My pets are my family and come before anything else, including my job and my hoildays.
I just bought a new little hamster, I can't find a good enough cage yet.
