Ugh we need mroe adoption centers in northwest indiana

so far i only know of one around here and guess what. Cats and Dogs only. I'm sorry but we really need more animal shelters around here, so if anyone has any SMALL animals up for adoption near northwest indiana let me know im looking for one or if any of u kno of adoption centers

well i cant say that there are more than some places but i have 3 examples

1. my neighbor had a guinea pig wanting to get rid of it. noone would take it and there are no shelters so what he did (so horrible made me cry) he left it in a box and a cat came and ate it. it was horrid. i went to inspect it ( i had a feeling) and cried for 10 minutes

2. my friend had 2 rats. she thought both female (dont know how she got it mixed up) and they had babies. she got rid of the babies my putting them in the garbage.

3. there was 3 rabbits in a tallish moving box down my cousins street who lives 2 blocks away from us.
the rabbits were herrendously skinny like they had been abandond and stuff.

i dont know if there were anymore but thts evidence enough for me

FRIEND?!?! Sorry, but how could anyone like this possibly be your friend.
This person should be reported. And they should not be allowed to have pets.
Urrgghh, don't even get me started on how this makes me feel.

What happened to the rabbits? Were they alive?

Are you sure that the one shelter won't take other animals too? Have you rung them and asked?

There's got to be somebody in all of "Northwest Indiana" that will help animals in these situations. Yes, that is sickening, and I hope those stories are either fictional or highly exaggerated. Unfortunately, even if there are shelters, the kind of people who would actually do the types of things described probably wouldn't bother taking the animal(s) to a shelter, anyhow.
