So I've been working on Sandy's seperation anxiety but today I came to walk her (she had been in the house 4 hours which is slightly longer than the last time)and she had chewed the door, torn up her leash, and torn up an unimportant purse...but still!! I put bitter apple and sprinkled treats everywhere and when I left I didn't make a scence. Does anyone have any other tips? I walk her a lot and stuff so she should be fine. I can't leave her in a crate all the time!! She was ok until now and now my mom's freaking out, telling me she'll have to find a new for her and stuff....I finally got my mom to let me train her and now she doesn't want to leave her alone again because she'll afraid it'll be worse next time....any training tips would be helpful!

can you get her a crate (the kind with with bars)?
you can start practicing by puttinjg her in it for short periods while you are home, in an area of the house she can see people. never use it for punishment and it may help if she has a chew toy or KONG inside of it. I t can become her safe place when you leave and it will prevent her from chewing everything.
when people in the home come and go they should ignore her..make sure its never a big deal. Try and act the same when you go to check the mail or go out shopping/dinner.

we bought a crate but the thing is, what if we go to the beach or something for 5 hours? Thats mean to leave her in there when we go out at night or something.....my mom isn't very willing to let her stay alone again so I donno.....I mean, she was doing fine, we could leave her alone for 3 or 4 hours at a time....Since my mom changed locations for her week job, she's only gone for 2-3 hours at a time but her weekend jobs are 12 hours... was thinking maybe doggie daycare on the weekend when I'm at m dad's.....
