Hello Peoples,
We are looking into adopting a dog by looking through various shelters and rescues in our region. We have been looking for a small adult beagle 25lbs or under. We have come across a mixed breed per say, that is a cocker / rat terrier. We know a little about this dog such she is a 10 month old 20lb female, spayed, crate trained, house broken, and good on a leash. We know that she is very shy, timid and she does submissive peeing. We are wondering if anyone out there has this type of dog to get an idea of temperment. We know by looking into both breeds that she may inherit certain characteristics. Should we worry about the shyness? Will she weigh more than 25lbs when she stops growing? When does a puppy stop growing? We have never had a dog before, we have two female indoor cats and two children 8 and 11.
