I don't know if I've ever posted pictures of my horse, Fancy. She's my very best friend and I don't know where I'd be without her. She's a 15 year old thoroughbred/rocky mountain cross. Enjoy!

Oh my gosh, shes gorgeous! I am always so jealous with people who have horses, cause I love them and want one someday!

Thanks you everyone for all the wonderful comments! It makes me so proud, haha! I love her so much. She really is my best friend. I tell her everything, I go to her when I need a hug or someone to cry on, anything. I don't know where I would be without her.

Mel, you should see if you can start taking lessons somewhere! I rode from age 5-12 and then stopped. Then I just started again 3 years ago.

Jennicat, I just ride for fun! I think that's the best way, haha. My horse is my friend, my equal. Not something I use until it doesn't suit me anymore and never get to bond with. We have miles and miles of beautiful trails and that's where we ride! I ride all year round, even in the winter. We don't have any indoor, haha. I just got special shoes on her this year with rubber pads too. The shoes are so awesome. They have little spikes on the bottom to help with the ice. And the pads keep the snow balls from forming in her feet!!

Alasse, what kind of horses did you have? Fancy is my first horse that I've owned. It's the best, haha!

I hate to echo Mel but the main word that comes to mind is "gorgeous"! You are a lucky girl to have such a beautiful horse! ;D

I had a 15.2hh bay mare (Selina), a 14.2hh grey gelding (Knicky), a 15hh fleabitten mare (Belle) and a 10hh black mare (Pippin) over the years.

Selina (a rescue) did some showing and jumping
Knicky (a rescue) did some showing
Belle (a rescue) didnt get the opportunity to do much at all unfortunately
Pippin was a retrain(rescue of sorts) i bought from my friend and resold to a lovely family with kids.

Thank you for such great comments! I'll try to start taking more pictures of her and post them. I didn't think anyone would respond so I never bothered posting pictures I guess (of my other animals too). I am very lucky I found her!

thank you :) Yeah you can definitely see the TB in her. For example, her skinny legs haha. She also has really tiny hooves. I don't know where she got those from though haha.

I love rocky mountains. X3 And she's absolutely adorable. Love the wavy mane and tail. XD

I want a purebred Rocky Mountain one day. They are so beautiful.

I'm taking Fancy on her (and my!) first trip Sunday! Me and two friends are trailering to a park called Green Lane about an hour away. I'm SO excited!!! A little nervous though because Fancy hasn't been on a trailer in like 8 years. I'm going to take a million pics! Please pray it goes well!!!

Thanks for your concern, or whatever it was. No, Fancy is not underweight. She is half thoroughbred and she is narrow. It's her build. I work for a shelter, and in fact the people I went to Green Lane Park with yesterday are both humane officers :)

I could obviously see in the other pictures she wasn't. I was just stating that the one picture was taken funky and made her look underweight. I wasn't refering to her narrowness. I was refering to how she is filled out. in the ass end area.

Yeah she's a healthy weight. I work at a shelter and go riding with humane officers, I wouldnt' have an underweight horse haha. She looks fine to me in the pictures, along with everyone else who viewed this thread. But thanks for the concern!

Btw, our ride Sunday was awesome!!! She loaded without a problem. We rode at Green Lane for almost 4 hours! We lead the whole time too. It was our (Fancy and mine) first time trailering out anywhere. I was so proud of her. I can't wait until we go on our next trip!
