Well my cat bubba got out of being fixed today sense I was going to take my son with me I got up at 5:30 to get ready. We had to be there between 6:30-7:00 I used a cat carrier not thinking about his weight. He is a big cat for his age which I believe he is 6 months. When I went to go put bubba in the van the bottom part of the cat carrier busted off and bubba ran to the end of the drive way I called for him and went to go get him then he ran to the back of the yard and was able to climb the wall after that he ran back to the front of the house and ran across the street to a path way used for jogging which is near the free way but separated by a wall. I started going over and looking for him after an hour ½ we found him in the little storm drain just across from the house near the jogging path. My husband was able to pull him out we are so lucky we found him. He was scared and sing and panting like crazy so we just kept him home and we are going to wait tell next month to take him though I think this time I will use the big cat carrier for his butt.

That same thing happened to a stray cat I had been feeding outside for a few months, when I decided to get him fixed to bring him inside to join my family. When the crate broke open, it was at the vet's office, and he ran right into the road and got run over . . . The driver of the car didn't stop, even though it wasn't all their fault, it hurts that they didn't care enough, and yes, they knew they hit him.

I had named him Frankie - as in "Old Blue Eyes" Sinatra, and had put him in the crate that morning, with a kiss, telling him he would be alright and I'd see him later. Oh, but Frankie was injured so badly, the only thing to do was put him to sleep to end his pain.

He was a good boy. I cried for days and daZe afterwards. He deserved a home and I wasn't able to give him one. It still makes me cry to think of it, but at least he was loved up to the end.
