If you're going to buy hamsters and know nothing about them please check the web first for care and how to look after them, there are loads of sites.Even better buy a small handbook about them it won't cost much.Most pet stores are not a good source of information,they only want to sell you the hammie and all the equipment to make a sale.This time of year they are bought for Christmas presents and some younger children don't know how to care for them properly,they really are not good pets for really young children.

ya my hammy did the thing with the seeds too. i gotta agree with ya it is very ennoying to hear that rattling when im trying to go to sleep. i have one of the wheels that attaches and is plastic..but they ususally come with those disposable trays so the seeds fall out in them. but big seeds dont. maybe you should check to see that your hamster has a place to store his food and get him to use that to store his seeds and not his wheel. :o my hammy sometimes will just sleep in his wheel i find the most ennoying..that my ham does is BITE the wheel..that can be very very ennoying at times.
