I noticed the last 2 days something wasn't right with Frostie. I had just bought her last Saturday. I thought she was just timid and needed time to get use to her new surroundings. Last night I noticed she stayed huddled up in one spot and was inactive. More disturbing was that she wasn't touching her food. This morning I took her into the vet and found she has wet-tail, a potential fatal disease if not caught in time. I will found out tomorrow if she will pull through. She is being given an anti-biotic treatment and medication for wet-tail. I'm praying for Frostie.

You are wonderful for having gone right to the vet. :) Many would not have done that. Super job by you.

I know Wet Tail is serious. Be sure the little girl does not get dehydrated. Ask the vet about giving her liquids and food with a syringe or eyedropper.

Thanks Zouave. I just wish I could have brought her in to the doctor sooner. I talked to the staff today and they said Frostie looked better. They have her on medication and I will see her tomorrow. If she looks good I may be able to take her home and give her medication for about a week. I will also be putting anti-wet tail tablets in her water for a few weeks.

Great job, again.

I mentioned dehydration as that can occur (and usually does) with diarrhea.

I hope you encourage other pet owners to be as responsible as you are. :)

Best to Frostie.
