When ever my hamm sees my other hamm he makes this chattering noise with his teeth. What does this mean?????

According to my book, Hamsters, A Complete Pet Owner's Manual, teeth chattering is a sign of aggression and could be a warning before an insuing fight.

Yep it's a warning sign!telling the other Hamster to back off!or else.
Teeth grinding is also a sign of annoyance,one of my hamsters used to do it when in the nest and didn't want to be disturbed!

He has stopped doing it. He won't even make a noise.

If he's stopped chittering maybe he no longer feels threatened,make sure you keep your hamsters apart if they are Syrians.
