Can hamsters have peanut butter? My brother thinks they can and I don't know. :daisy: :daisy:

I've read on a few web sites that they can, but , I still be carefull. I don't give mine plain penut butter, I take some of their food and mix some peanut in it and make small little balls. I give each of my hamsters one and they like them

That's what I heard and thank you. I just wanted to try that.

Probably ok as an odd treat now and then, there may be too much salt in it.Much better to feed them whole peanuts in the shell, they love chewing into them, but again as a treat, too many peanuts and sunflower seeds can make them fat.Hamsters also love chocolate but that is dangerous to them.
