does anyone here own a crittertrail 3 cage? if so, could you tell me if their big enough for a hamster to live in comfortably, and about how much it costs? i currently have a 3-story wire cage, but my hamster seems kind of bored with it, and she won't go up the ladder so I have to have everything on the first floor and it's getting kind of cramped down there. I'm hoping I'd have better luck with the tubes...

We have a SAMS cage for our Syrian hamster & he loves it. It is a bit more pricey, but you can always add onto it with tubes & different levels. Currently we only have 1 lvl but 2 rooms for him. He loves it. He loves all the tubes & it really keeps him happy & entertained. You can start small, like with our cage it came with a bunch of stuff like tubes & the like. It is so easy to expand onto. I admit wire cages are not too much fun for them. Our first hamster who sadly died a while ago, had a wire cage when we got her. She really didn't like it too much & they are much harder to clean I have heard. Plastic cages are more interesting & fun for them. Good luck on finding your new cage.

You know what I do for my hamsters? I use glass tanks and I put the tubes that come to expand the plastic cages inside the glass tank. I put them as different levels and hold them with tape. Every 2 or 3 months I change the positions of the tubes and it's all new again. I haven't done that with my new dwarf because they can't go up the tubes. I've seen them try, but they can't. I was thinking of trying mice tubes with them... you think they might work?

Hey Lilsnoopy! Good Luck with the new cage! btw...how old are u? I'm turning 12 Aug. 28!! anyway...I'm hoping my sis and my parents will let me keep my new Hamsters in my room (Sadly, I share it w/my sis) so that i have more room to spread the tubes and stuff...I'm getting 2 more at the end of the summer!!!
