have now a huge sum of money saved up for vet bills
right? But I wanted some last minute suggestions/tips
on which type of toys and litter and foods. Brands
anybody? I'm picking up those last things within the
next few days. Oh and just thought i would mention
before anyone assumes im just jumping in to it, I've
done my research and i own a collection of ferret
books by now. :] I literally have unlimited time so
nobody should worry about that type of thing.
Any other tips you have are greatly appreciated.

Well I ended up getting two dwarfs on Sunday. They are Winter White ones or w/e. I went there at first and looked around and couldn't find 2 male dwarf hamsters but I saw 2 weird hamsters I never heard of. I looked at them and knew they were dwarfs but I couldn't be sure. They calld them Djungarian and they were 16 each. I went home and looked it up, come to find out they are just plain dwarf hamsters so I went back and snatched them up. They are so cute and Jax, the little one is really friendly and he is starting to turn white! I need to buy them a bigger cage, or a few more cages to attach, I just haven't found any for a good price but know they won't both be crammed in this one. Here are some pictures!

This is Jax

I have a cockatiel and a parakeet and they are in the same cage together and like each other really well (the parakeet even mimics her 'chirp' now) and i was going to get a bigger cage for them to be together but i don't know the appropriate cage for both of them. i plan on getting a big cage but the bar space is the issue. i dont know what would be right for both of them since the parakeet is obviously smaller and i dont want to get a cage with a bar space that is too small for the cockatiel nor too big for the parakeet. i found this big cage online that was 3/8 bar space and i was just wondering if that was maybe too small for the cockatiel? i want her to be able to move around comfortably around the cage. i have a bigger cage other than the smaller cage they're in right now but the bar space is too big for the parakeet and im afraid hes going to get his head stuck or hurt himself or herself, plus i dont want to seperate them. any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

I had a female african clawed frog for about 5 years now during which she has never had any sort of tankmate. Recently I adopted a younger male clawed frog (who looks to be about 2 years old), and neither of them seem to be getting along very well. At first I was terrified that the female should eat the male, so I separated them and fattened up the male. He has grown larger since, and he is about 1/3 of the female's size. I had to put the frogs together today while I was cleaning the tank, and the small one attacked the bigger one! It grabbed on to its leg, bit it while wrapping its arms around the thigh. It took quite a bit of effort to separate the two. Can anyone give me some tips as to how I should go about making the frogs friends? I've conisdered everything from just putting them in a tank, allowing them to simply duke it out amongst themselves, to placing them together in a small bucket with not much water, allowing them to get to know each other. ANY TIPS PLEASE!?!?!

My Syrian hamster died about 2 months ago and I feel well enough now to get another hamster. I have owned about 5 of the Syrian hamster and I think I am ready to move on to a dwarf. It's seems hard to find information out there by educated people so I figured I'd ask here.

Are dwarfs really more bitey than the mellow Syrians?

Do they have to be kept in pairs or are they happy alone?

No sugar, right?

How close do the cage bars need to be?

Are they easy to tame?

Do they really go wild with no interaction for 2 weeks?

Those are general questions for a Russian dwarf. I've started to contemplate Robo hamsters but I know nothing about them. Are they harder to tame than a Russian dwarf? Do they escape easily?

I'm not normally this ignorant about hamsters but it's been a while since I considered anything different than my mellow Syrian boys.

Thank you so much to who ever possibly responds to this. It's sad how empty this forum is now.
