Here are two pictures of my PBP laying on top of the sofa in the sunshine. He loves to be warm!

I'm not sure why they came out so small. It took me a while just to figure out how to post them here, so I suppose I'm just thankful I finally did it.
I'm completely in love with that little pig. He's just so snuggly. I know you don't usually think of pigs being snuggly, but he just loves to cuddle up on the couch and lay with me. He puts that cute little snout up and it just melts my heart. |

Its funny. Because if every butcher were to have a PBP they probably wouldn't be selling pork b/c of the happiness that they bring to you as pets (from the way PBP owners talk about it). I think its such a shame that little cute innocent piggies are butchered. Are you vegan in that sort? With pork? Chaplin, sorry if this article offended you in any way, and made you sad and think about what could have happened to your little piggy.

You know, the vegetarian question is something I've really been struggling with lately. I had always eaten and enjoyed pork before I got my pig. Now, I don't eat pork, but I still cook beef and chicken in the house. Shouldn't I feel guilty about that? Aren't cows and chickens living animals, too? And yet, I'm still eating them. I feel guilty, too, when I see other people eating pork and I don't say anything. Should I tell them about how smart and lovable pigs are (I realize pot bellies and farm pigs are different, but they are still pigs)? I don't say anything because I don't want to offend anyone or cause a scene or even have people not like me, but is that fair to pigs? After all, everyone has the right to their own decisions, but they are slaughtering living animals. It's all a lot to consider. I'm curious how other people who love their pets feel about this.

I have hermit crabs and fish and still eat seafood. My room mate says he wouldn't eat a cat (he has one) but he eats cows and other animals regularly. (Eating cows is OK, because "they're not cute.")
I personally don't distinguish one species of animal from another, as long as I didn't/don't know them personally.
