i dont get it?? why are there so many gosh dang post about selling your gliders.. geeze, WHEN YOU BUY AN ANIMAL YOU ARE 100% COMMITTED TO IT TIL IT DIES! animals arent just things you get rid of when you dont feel like taking care of it!!!
thats just WRONG! not to mention you are suppost to have a license to sell, or even give them away!!!!!! :wall: why get rid of them?? because YOU made an impluse buy & now cant control it, or its mean because you dont play with it!!!!! * ITS NOT THE ANIMALS FAULT* its yours for not reasearching your animal upon buying!*absolutely ridiculous!!!* :wall:

![]() It's the "Oh it's SO cute" factor. ![]() I watched the same thing happen around here years ago with sugar gliders and hedgehogs. If the poor things didn't die from malnutrition or what not, they were passed from home to home. ![]() It's so depressing and disgusting. But i'm not sure what we can do about it. I guess only educate the new owners of the health and care these pets need, and hope they are able to do the best they can for the little critters. Unfortunetly we can't say "No, don't get one", b/c these people are not going to listen. "Impulse buyers" are everywhere. I would love to see laws for people to have to take courses and get a license to have children and pets, but i doubt that will ever happen.....

i couldnt agree with you more!!!!!!!!!!
i do try to educate the people.. i would rather them know in the time they do have them then not.. i always try to tell someone i see posting about this how they can help bond with them, or whatever, but sometimes your right, you cant do anything about it! & honestly something should be done since the animals cannot tell.. they think selling them will help.. not in any means! it will actually put them even deeper(most times) in the hole.. people dont get, if you give it time TIME & more time, they will bond, be nice & be your BEST friend!!!!! they dont see that they a HUGE compared to the glider & it is SO incredibly SCARED!!!!! people rethink selling your gliders!!!!!!!!!! they will be more loyal to you than your dog!!!=] give it TIME! *good things come to those who wait*

You know some people who sell their gliders, like myself, have to. Due to moving, lack of time because of a busier work/school schedual. I mean things come up that people can't perdict. None of us are mind reader or fortune tellers, we don't know what the next day is going to bring. So before you start going off on why people are selling these awsome critters, why don't you hear their story beforeyou assume that the glider was just an impules buy.

why are you being so defensive? i was stating that many only do so because they cannot tame them.. did i say you were doing it for a bad reason? NO i didnt.. i dont know you, your glider, or your reason. but i do have to say, either reason on why your selling, you should have thought about before bringing this little guy or girl home. you should always think about school, work, time for you, kids, & so on before taking on another life to care for. you knew i would assume, how long they live for, therefore you should have thought about what you would be doing with your life in that time frame. i wasnt being at all rude to you, just people that do this to the poor little ones in general. you dont know how much i see this happen. its not fair!!! your not even suppost to give away a glider without a USDA lisence little lone selling it! i just think people should rethink selling one. they dont take much time, although they do. (if that makes sence) i dunno though, i dont see why you have gotten so deffensive about it. its not like your doing it for the 'wrong' or 'right' reason.. i just feel when you committ to an animal you committ til the day it dies. not if something just comes up.. they didnt just 'come up' did they? take a chill pill, i wasnt attacking you.. just all the stupid people that dont give wonderful little speechless creatures a chance. sprry you cant make 2 hours a day for your 'awesome critters.'
