I need help Taming

I have 3 sugar gliders, 1 male 2 females. The male has always been aggressive and unfriendly with people because he was not hand tamed as a joey. My 2 females were hand tamed but as time goes on they have gotten more aggressive. I need to know if it is possible that the male has influence on the females. If i get the male used to me, will the other 2 follow? Also I would like to know if it is possible to potty train sugar gliders, so that they dont mess up their bedding and food.( i know someone who owned a sugar glider that would use the restroom in a specific corner of the cage). any information on taming would be useful.

yes you are right the females are probly following the male. yes you need to get the male more attached to you and the others will probly foolow. heres a few tips on how you do it. 1 put a piece of clothing you have been wearing for atleast 4hours in the cage so they can learn your smell. also another way to tame them is when there sleeping. take the glider out of the cgae when its asleep keep it in a shirt pocket or close to your body. why it is sleeping it will be smelling you and learning your touch at the same time. the reason why you do it when there sleeping is beacuse if they are not very tame they probly arent used to people holding them. so when there sleeping they are being tamed with out knowing it,so when they wake up you dont seem so scary. good luck with you traning!

I also purchased some gliders that were not tame and this is what I did
wear gloves to begin with just to help with the biting. but what is best is when u are out and about just put him in a bonding pouch and take him everywhere u go. This is how he gets to know you. Don't let other people bother him or be around him to where he is only around you. Touch him throught the pouch and talk to him. Give him treats like yogurt drops. This needs to go on for a least a month you should see a difference. If the females aren't biting you just give them yogurt drops. They need to trust you and giving them treats lets them know u aren't going to hurt them. If you need some more help please feel free to write me at strawberries_creamm@msn.com I am a glider mom of 4 and 2 on the way.

my very first pair ever were pretty tame but bonding still took a lot of patience and guts. (yes I said guts). These were the two other things that helped me most to bond, besides the things mentioned in the previous posts.

Tip 1: Dont be afraid to get bit!
if they start to bite, try not to pull your finger away.
It was hard at first, but the more I pulled away after
they bit me, the more they would bite. Licky treats
definately help so that they associate your finger and
scent with positive things. Unless they
make oyu bleed, keep on putting your finger back in
there so that they know biting will not deter you.

Tip 2: use a play tent to get aquainted

while they are still sleeping, place their pouch inside of
a kiddie tent with you and some toys and treats. once
they get up, let them do their own thing and dont
bother them. once they get comfortable, they will be
curious about you, and come to you to investigate.
dont do anything still. let them crawl on you. once they
seem a little bit better, offer them licky treats.

-Hope this helps you!-
