3 Adult Gliders in Central New Jersey. Must sell due to an illness in the family. I appreciate the heartfelt concern of rescue offers, but I cannot afford to give these gliders away.
Here's my situation with the gliders. I've got a pair - male & female - who are about 7 years old. They were a breeding pair but I think they are too old to breed now, since there haven't been any babies in quite some time. They don't act "old". They seem to be very active & healthy. I also have a female who lives in a separate cage who is about 5 years old. She has had joeys before, but I don't know if she can still have them or not. She also seems very active & healthy. All three have been on a diet of 25% dry cat food/parrot food and 75% fresh fruit (mostly apple as that's their favorite). The reason why I am looking for new homes for them is because of an illness in the family, which is going to force us to sell the house & move out West. When I got the gliders, I had every intention of making a lifelong commitment to them, but my life has thrown me a curve ball & I have no choice but to find them a new home. It is illegal to own them where I'm moving, and I wouldn't want to try to ship them 3000 miles even if it was legal. Anyhow, the pair are friendly, but the other female has a bit of an attitude and would need some work to become more tame. She seems to be more scared than mean. Sadly, dealing with my mom's illness means I just don't have the time to work with her. I paid well over $600 for all three gliders and their cages. I'm asking $250 at this point for the pair with their cage (17" x 27" x 27"), and $150 for the female with her cage (14" x 24" x 31"). I'm located in Central NJ (near New Brunswick) and I've got a small car, so you would need to come & pick the gliders up. Thanks for reading & please contact me if you're interested.
