the animal shelter
(ok, i know what your thinking "oh no another poem! ahhh! stop it!", but i couldent help it! tell me what you guys think, are they corney? or what, tell me!!
oh yeah and adopt from your local animal shelter, they need love too!!) "the animal shelter" here i am all alone in the darkness no reason to be i've lost my sisters the humans have taken them to where i dont know their fate undetermind all i know is they are gone these humans have bathed me fed me tried to play with me but im still unsure they are humans after all my life had been pure hell before all this starvation cruel humans dogs cold nights what has life to offer but pain? why should i trust these......humans? they cause a majority of it? they took me from my mom put me in a cage force me to take some yucky stuff and claim it will make me feel better but i will not be fooled why should i be? i know they will hurt me so i shy away and hiss hoping they wont hurt me then one day she came by "oh mommy, what an adorable kitty!" the cage door opens im taken out she cuddles me pets me gently "what a pretty kitty" hm, she seems nice she rocks me gently and i think maybe not all humans are bad maybe im not the reason they get mad? "i love you kitty" and she kissed me i look up, i've never been told that by a human my mom has said it but a human.....??? wow, i like this human maybe i can trust humans i purr for the first time in months she hold me close and strokes my fur i like this human i really do! she takes me home i have a new bed, and a toy mouse! a pretty pink collar with my name on it! and all the food i can eat! wow! this is great! and everyone loves me! im constantly petted and held and im so warm!! so this is what life is ment to be? i like it! im so happy! purrrrr purrrrr i feel so loved! i never dreamed i would be this happy!

i like it. I think the poem is cute and it does have a happy ending. i wish all pets in shelters could get a happy ending too

It's not so sad as the others, not tha the sad poems are bad of course. But I like it, very much so. Rember people Don't breed or buy while shelter animals die. Becuase shelters are getting crowded
