I see you squirm I see you cry,
I wonder whether you should die.
I want to help, to end your pain,
Tears soon fall like bitter rain.

There was nothing I could do,
That I didn’t already for my little you,
I remember all the times we had,
The times of good, the times of bad.

I remember when you’d run and crawl,
Fast escaping to the hall.
I remember sometimes laughing long,
As you always proved us wrong.

You became so much more,
Than the pet I took you for,
A lone companion, teacher, friend,
Who came to an unlucky end.

Goodbye my angel, my little one,
The short sweet life of so much fun,
Your ending days may have been rough,
But rest in peace my dear, sweet Yuff.
