1 female, 1 Male very sweet. I would keep them but my chinchilla doesn't seem to like having them around and I am also alergic. Please if you know anyone who would take them please let me know.

They are.....
I forgot to mention they are Dwarf Hamsters, they are kept separate so there is no chance of pregnancy. I am willing to separate them.

I hope you get someone who wants to give them a good home. If I was closer I would take them for sure. I own dwarf hamsters and they are such cute little animals. If you do not have much luck here at petshub you might try an add at the local petstore, or feed store. Some pet stores will even place your pets for you. I am lucky here in my small town to have a few feed stores as well as a local radio station that you can buy sell and trade on for free, I cannot tell you how many pets I have adopted from that radio program in my lifetime, including my first pony when I was a child. Hope all goes well. Marianne

Hamsters
I rescued them from a pet store, I didn't know till i brought them home that I was alergic to them.My sister took them for a while but her husbands a pain in the u know what & he didn't like em. So i took them back. I have them in a 10 gallon aquarium, till iget some more money. I would love for them to find a home . But if that doesn't happen I will be keeping them. I won't take them back to that place i bought them from.

Hello Cassandra19,
I am not too sure how allergic you are to them. When i first kept hamsters, i thought i was allergic to them too. I kept sneezing and having my hands will itch after handling them. Then one day, i went to stock up my hamsters bedding at a petstore, but my usual bedding was out-of-stock. So i bought another brand - Sluis, Vitakraft instead. When i started using the new beddings, my hands aren't itching anymore. But i do sneeze a bit still. From there, i realised that i wasn't allergic to hamsters, but to their beddings! Also you might wish to get them some bathing sand to clean them, so there they are cleaner this way. Hopefully it helps to reduce your allergic. As for your chinchilla dislike of the hamster, i can't help much. All the best. |

Well
I know it isn't the bedding cause I have a guinea pig & chinchilla who use the same pine liter. I can live with the itching, but it is an iconvience. I ordered two new cages for them from petsmart.com, They are really nice and they were only $14 a piece and they have a ten dollar off coupon for purchases $30 or more......so it was really a good deal.
Pearl: Were do I get the dust? Is it the stuff you would use for chinchillas? |
