I wrote these poems about my foster horse, Looking Glass-

To My Horse, Looking Glass:

What is it you ask?
It's many things but for you
A wonderful name.

Not Just Another Horse:

"Just another horse" they say
"Just another slaughter case.
We don't need to hear his story
about why and when he came in"

They walk by you and look for a second, but then move on.
Some make comments on how big you are,
but others on how much the horses smell.
Obviously they don't see your good side.

"Your not just another horse" I say
"Not just another slaughter case"
"They need to hear your story
to fully under stand."

"Your an appaloosa,
A big, bold, beautiful appaloosa."
"But most of all,
your Looking Glass"
