A feeder poem

MOMMY OH MOMMY

Today I woke with such a fright
Someone took mommy in the night
I use to love, to play with her tail
She use to kiss me when my breathing did ail

I am so scared as I just learned to see!
My siblings are going fast soon will be me
Maybe when I get there, my family will be there
I can snuggle my mom, feeling her tender care

My tummy is rumbly and hurts a lot
The food smells bad, what little we got
The cage has some yellow stuff, which makes me sneeze bad
I don’t feel well and I’m really sad

Ohh no someone came the hand just got me
They put me in a box, I can no longer see
Maybe it’s to go to a clean great new home
With food and no smell, a big place I can roam

I have been in this box a very long spell
I’m so very scared and not feeling well
Mommy once told me of a person who was kind
I don’t think this person is whom I did find

They just came to get me the hand was quite fast
I was grabbed by the tail- the skins thin, it won’t last
Now I was put in a big see through home
Maybe there’s food,,,,,lots of space to roam

What’s the thing in the corner, moving I see?
It don’t look like Mom or my family
Mommy oh Mommy I can feel my heart race
Something’s not right it’s staring in my face

Something deep in my mind just did stir
Mommy calls it instinct, it has happened to her
I know what will happen so I’ll close my eyes tight
I know there no hope so why try to fight

Mommy oh Mommy I know where you are!
Mommy Oh Mommy I am not very far
Soon I’ll be with you, getting snuggling and a kiss
Soon it will be over this world I won’t miss!
