Give Pitbull Terriers a chance!

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and today one of the local stations that has one of the highest ratings in the Bay Area was broadcasting live on prime time the story about the pitbulls. One of the callers was very upset due to the fact that those clowns on the radio show ironically named the "dog house" were advising people to get rid of their pitbulls. When the caller said: "what are we supposed to do?" The DJ laughingly said: "Take him in the back yard and shoot him in the head". This radio station has many followers, and there are many who listen to them and do what they say. Of course no one in his right mind would do such thing to his dog, but the fact that they are creating public hysteria and giving pitbulls a worse rap is very ignorant of them. They have limited education and very little supervision from management, but if enough people contact their management maybe some one can do something about them. I know it's freedom of speech, but it is not right for the poor animals to suffer more than what they are already suffering. I was looking for a small breed dog at various local shelters and it broke my heart to see how many pitbulls were awaiting their dead inside those cages. No possible way so many dogs would be allocated or placed in homes. Specially now. There should be an agency that should determine who is an authority of broadcasting news and they should be censored and sanctioned for voicing their personal opinion through radio. wild949.com/dj_doghouse.html
If you visit their website you will see a section called pets...(What a joke), Here you are telling people to adopt sheltered animals in one hand and the same entity is suggesting people to get rid of their pitbull, based on separate incidents. I know often times they do pranks and they act funny, this time they weren't. My neighbor called and asked me if I wanted her Pitbull. I told her I already have two dogs, a Jack Russell Terrier and a Chihuahua, otherwise I would adopt her, she is a sweet dog. I hear ya about the people on the radio. What Idiots!! I have a wonderful 4 and a half year old Brindle baby named Sayge. They make wonderful pets and are wonderful with everything. It is not the breed, it the stupid people that end up getting them. I wish more people felt the way we do.

IM sorry for the top post my wife who suffers from a mental problem posted it as when she signed on this site and it logged her on as me ...IM surly not dead she is off her meds again although we are looking for a jack Russell terrier because we would like to have a small dog in the house for my 6 year old step son whose birth father dose not have anything to do with him but I have done very well in filling that void I will change the password on here so this will not happen again ... again I am so sorry for her post here please believe that ill do my best so that it don't happen again!
