Hampster got away....HELP!

Hello all. My 9 year old son was sitting downstairs on the couch w/one of our siberian dwarf hampsters. Well, he comes up stairs and says he looked down and she was gone. Any good tips on where hampters like to hide or what might bring her out, if anything? She's a little shy and has never bit, so I'm afraid of scaring her. Anyway, comments are appreciated.

Hmmm...you said your son was sitting on the couch? I lost a hammy in my couch once. He burrowed between the cushions and all the way into the interior of the couch. I had to partially remove the lining on the bottom of the couch and lure him out with a nut. Good luck trying to find your hammy but if you haven't looked there yet, try to see if he's inside the couch...he may not be able to get back out if you've got one of those couches like me...the ones that aren't open all the way through... and he'll need food and water soon!

I have a feeling good ol' "Deb" might just be S.O.L., and we all know what that means. She was such a nice hampster as well. Oh well, guess I'm gonna have to go shell out another 10 bucks at the pet store.
