Help me out I am confuzed now....
Well I went to get my Siberian Hammies today, and the lady looked at me cock-eyed when I said I wanted two. She explained to me that they would fight to the death when older. I told her, thats syrian Hammies, not these kind. Am I right, or is She right? I have had Siberian hammies before, and never has a problem.
I thought Siberian Hammies were fine together. This lady has me confuzed and I dont want either one of them dying, so please let me know if I should seperate them. Both Males. Information much appriciated.

I've never had Siberians but as far as I've heard every type of dwarf can live in pairs. Unlike syrians who are solitary they live in colonies in the wild. Of course theres always a chance that two won't get along so you have to be prepared to seperate them, but thats the exception not the rule. Pet shop people usually know nothing at all. When I asked for my first syrian, she looked at me odd and then asked if I meant Siberian. No, I wanted the big ones, often called black bears or teddy bears. She said, yes, siberians. I let it go, but I think to sell animals you should maybe know something about them? Anyway sorry for rambling. If they actually are siberians they should be okay together.

Yea, thats what I thought. I know for sure that they are Siberians. I have actually had Syrians before too, and the three of them got along just fine. Two males and a female. I only had one set of pups. Yea, the lady didnt know what she was talking about, but sure did confuze me in the process. In any case, tha
. And Woo Hoo I knew I was right!

Btw: I took that picture with a webcam, using a print screen program, and then cropped and formatted it the way I wanted to with another program on my computer.
