I think Dwarfie is pregnant, What to do with the male?
Well here is the thing. I know all the signs and she/he is showing them. I didnt sex the Dwarfs because A. I wanted them to get used to their enviroment before picking them up B. I trusted the petstore. In any case, in the last couple days the dwarf has gotten much much bigger then the "other male" and also has gotten much more aggressive.
One day we were in the other room, and heard a squeak squeak squeak and then ruffleing and tumbleing in the cage. I went to check it out, but didnt find anything because they were already done with their scruffle. In any case, I seperated them cause I didnt want the male ending up dead. I am going to change the bedding tonight, just in case she is pregnant, cause I know I cant change or touch anything for at least two weeks after birth. Do I need to put the male back in? or will she be fine on her own? I know the Dwarf male helps in the rearing, but I dont want him dead because of agression. She is MUCH bigger then him, has built a nest, agression, hoarding food. And the factor is before, they were getting along just fine, and they were cagemates at the petstore. Let me know if you have any ideas. I do not want another set of accident babies if she is pregnant. Let me know your thoughts please. Information Much appriciated

I would say seperate, because if the male stays in they will mate right after the birth, and you don't want a whole 'nother litter.

I agree with chaos remove him hemay help with looking after the babies but he and the mother can mate 24 hours after she has given birth and back to back pregnacies aren't good it can stress the mum out loads.

Yea, I have them seperated. She sure is acting pregnant, but who knows. I need to go out and get more supplies for another cage. Wheel, Water Bottle, that sort of thing, and a bin. Can't wait to see what will happen. I showed my husband the difference in the size and he thinks I planned this on purpose, but I showed him the receipt with two males clearly on it. I will wait and see. But I am hoping to have a litter. I will then split them based on their sex. I know how to do the split cage method, so no worries. Can't wait to see.
