Jumps:how to build and cheap?
Hi!
I was wondering how to build simple pole-and-rail jumps cheaply!! we have some wood in the backyard but how do you build the poles? the rails are pretty simple i think... any advice or INSTRUCTIONS would help! thanks

Call your local cooperative extention office and ask for the plans.
4-H has several different plans for building jumps.

You can make jumps out of straw bales, barrels and for the poles - painted carpted tubes (the big rolls that hold carpets until all gone)

only if you don't mind killing your horses legs and possibly getting hurt
there is a reason jumps are built to "break away.

What are you onabout killing them?
As long as no sharp bit and they fall to the gound and move it a horse clips them then there safe. Straw deffinatly scatters if hit.
