Potty training in reverse
I don't know what to do with my pig Bailey and her potty training. I have had her for about 5-6 weeks now. Within the first couple days I had her potty trained. She is an indoor pig. We have made our walk in closet her space in our bedroom. She was doing do good so about 3 weeks ago I gave her full run of our room only. After one week I took her to get spayed, all of a sudden she started laying in her litter pan even after she went to the bathroom. And a few days ago she has starting peeing on my carpet. So I put her back in just the closet. She started knocking over her water. So i put her in the bathroom, right next to the closet. She hated it, but seem to do just fine with pottying. So I put her once again in the closet (with bowl she can now not knock over) but now she is peeing on the floor in there. I need to know what to do as far as her going to the bathroom on my carpet and her laying in her on urine (I thought pigs didn't do that)? I though fixing her would make things even more of a breeze but now it has made it worse. PLEASE HELP!!

after the surgery she may have had trouble making it in there because of soreness...that led to an accident and now she probably can smell the urine in the carpet so she is repeating in the same area...that may be why she was doing well in the clean bathroom...i'd suggest cleaning the heck out of that carpet in the closet with an enzymatic cleaner like nature's miracle...remember to soak it through to the padding underneath it too...you may want to remove her to another area until your carpet is dry and scent free...set up a playpen in another room entirely then she might get back on the "pee in the box" bandwagon! about laying in the box maybe she liked the idea of not having to get up while she was feeling crummy, so she just slept on the toilet so she could go anytime?!? was she given any pain meds afterwards? my puppy was incontinent for about 24 hrs after i gave her the pain meds for her spay aftercare, but that was the other thing not pee...

Thanks
No, she was not given any pain meds after surgery. She did good, crappy for a couple days and then just a few days ago started this peeing wherever thing. I had been using vinager for her pee spots but obviously it has not been working. I just wonder if she is mad at me and thats why she is doing it. It started last week while my b/f and I were in an argument. She had never done it before that. I dont know. I will try cleaning again and see if it helps. Thank You.
