I'm thinking it would be a better option for me maybe to lease a horse instead of buying on right now, but honestly I know little about it, does anybody know more information on it? or has any good websites..
My questions are: Where exactly to look for horses for lease? Can i keep the horse at my place? How much will it cost to do Full lease and what is included in it? How is Half-lease different from Full lease, and how much in average will that cost? Is it a good idea to get insurance on leased horse? Thanks!!

All of these questions should be posed to your instructor since they are all different in any place you go. If you see an advertisement about the leased horse you can call the owner and see what terms they are leasing under.

But what ever you do get a SIGNED CONTRACT!
Prefably done by a solicitor - that way if anything happens (like owner apperas, rides horse and injurs it expecting you to pay) that would be a breech of the contract and THEY would have to pay and more.

thanks and yes I will ask my instructor for the info, i think we do have leasing program at our barn, but youre only allowed to ride horses few times a week, which wont work for me, cause we live too far away.

Leasing a horse is a great idea before buying one, I now have gotten the OK from my parents to lease a horse. First thing to do would be to ask your instructor, than think about which horses you could care for on your own and ride saftely. Once you have a horse in mind talk to the owner about mabye taking care of the horse for the summer, if they like what you have done, mabye you can ask about riding the horse for them. Step by step you'll have not only a horse, but one you like and fell safe with.
