Pig wings?

I was just randomly searching the web and found a site where they are working on genetically engineering wings from pig tissue and rat cells.....
Pig wings?

Angry

that is just so extremely wrong! theres people in Africa dying of aids, and animals in shelters that are going to be put down to sleep, and they're think about what, making pig wings! I'm really sorry, but thats where I totally draw the line! I didn't even really read throught the whole thing, but that is S-I-C-K! underline that and put that in bold, sick! I think that we should write letters, what they are doing could be illegal!

In that case, I'm going to have to do a lot of things because I stated I would "when pigs fly".

On a more serious note, that is quite stupid. Do they really need to mess around with an animal? What's wrong with the way it is? I say if the animal wasn't made to fly, so be it. Are they trying to prove something with this? Now really, what do they gain by making a pig fly? The things some people will do...

I just don't see how you can make a pig fly. Even after giving it wings, who says the pig will know what they're for? Pigs weren't made for flying, so I don't see why some people think it should be done. What does a pig need to be in the air for? LOL, it's one of dumbest things, yet it is kinda funny.
